The water media challenge on creativespark.art is always interesting. I'm not fond of using other artists' photos but like to take part and be a bit social. The lighthouse photo looked the easiest. I used the Canson Watercolor sketchbook and the waterbrushes with watercolors. The sky is less splotchy in real life, but I do need to practice washes to avoid lines.
The photos were posted by Queen Bee.
I also did a quick sketch with a Micron 02 in the ArtStreet sketchbook, half page. This is for the new Scavenger Hunt from Life 48.
Number 1 related to kitchen - the corner seen from the dining table. There is so much stuff there that I focused just on the high corner.
Tomorrow is the opening at the Lost Pines Art Center for December. Lots going on. Have a look and a visit to the gallery.

I love the watercolor! :-)

The Lost Pines Art Center looks like there is a lot going on. Blow your own ornament sounds like a lot of fun!!!
Nice lighthouse. I find it almost impossible to do sky washes with a waterbrush and not get lines. I've nearly stopped using them. Regular brushes get much better results for me.
Thanks, Joan. We hope to get to the Art Center tomorrow, at least for the reception. Thanks for the tips on using regular brushes. I will try that next time.
Joanna, thank you. I keep trying. I'll get a watercolor I really like one of these days. :-)
Lovely watercolor
ashok, thank you so much. Appreciate your visit
I love the lighthouse! You are getting good at this watercolor thang
bag blog, thank you so much. There wasn't much color blending to worry about or much drawing actually. I think I picked the easiest photo. Heh, heh.
