Finally a Sketch

I hadn't done a sketch for the new Hunt that I'm hosting.  Not good.  I sketched in the living room in the Conda sketchbook with a Micron 03 pen, freehand.

For Scavenger Hunt 163  https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-163-jun-19-jul-01.8038/

Number 1 under - stuff under the table top

Our company is gone so quiet here.  Hot outside so not much going on.

The College World Series is on today.  May be the last game.  The finals are with Coastal Carolina and LSU, the best two of three.  LSU won last night with a score of 1-0.  If they win today it is all over.  Our son-in-law will be happy!  Coastal Carolina had won 26 games in a row ... hard to keep that up.  Our Texas State shut them out 1-0 earlier in the year.  Yay!  It is hard for the number 2 team .. as Tiger Woods always said it is "first loser".   I'm always sad for College baseball to be over.  We don't watch professional sports.

Sketching the Usual

One of the items on the Scavenger Hunts was "Sketch this so often (but still love to sketch it)".  We were on the porch so what was handy?  You got it, the old bedraggled geranium.

For Scavenger Hunt 160  https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-160-may-14-26.7970/

Number 1 sketch so often - the geranium and hummingbird feeder in the Ohuhu sketchbook with watercolors and the Micron 03
Number 2 flower - there is some mimosa limbs from next door peeking through behind the juniper tree

Life took over keeping me away from sketching and posting.  Gene had a visit to the stroke hospital again.  He had high blood pressure so they wanted to check.  Long story but he was there 2 full days.  He is OK, no stroke so we are home and trying to get back in the routine.  We did go to physical therapy on Friday, watched the baseball games on TV and slowly getting our _ _ _ _  (act) together.

Longhorn baseball are number 1 in the SEC (Southeast Conference) and will be in Alabama this week for the tournament.  From there they will most likely be number 1 in the country and host a Regional and Super Regional on the road to Omaha, College World Series.  Hook 'em Horns!

Day Out Sketches

We went out for the day yesterday.  We went to Schulenberg, Texas, for the songwriterserenade.com competition.   It was a beautiful day.  We saw Joanna, some old friends, and listened to some new tunes.  There were about 15 contestants from all over the country.  Brittany Ann Tranbaugh from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,  won.  Joanna's friend, Ashley Monical, came in second.

It was a beautiful day and nice to sit outside under a roof and relax.  They had food, and drinks.  There were T-shirts and music for sale.  We left early but had a nice time.

I sketched a little off to the side and forward toward the stage.

For Scavenger Hunt from Life 158 https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-158-april-28-may-6.7944/

Number 1 outdoors - in the small Strathmore sketchbook with Micron 03 and watercolors.

Number 2 blue - jeans and shirts on a couple of patrons in the small regular Canson sketchbook with Micron 03 and colored pencil

Number 3 face - some hints of faces on patrons and a singer. In the Canson sketchbook with Micron 03.

The Longhorns lost to Arkansas again so were swept in the weekend. The Horns "were" number 1 in the country.  First weekend series they have lost since joining the SEC, Southeastern Conference.  Here is yesterdays story:  https://www.secsports.com/news/2025/05/reese-robinetts-homers-fuel-no-11-arkansas-sweep-of-no-1-texas

Only two more weekends of regular baseball then the SEC tournament and the Regionals, Super Regionals and College World Series in Omaha.  Hook 'em Horns!

Last Landscape

Well, a teaser of sorts, it is the last sketch and landscape for this Hunt 157.  We were out on the porch almost all day, so did this quick sketch before baseball started.

For Scavenger Hunt from Life 157  https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-157-apr-20-apr-28y.7933/

For the Hunt it is the bottom half of the page.  Number 5 landscape in the Conda Sketchpad with a Micron 03.  A little change in style as I sketch that view so often.

"Our" roadrunner went by so quickly that I couldn't actually sketch it.  It had something in its mouth and was really scootin' across the yard.  So from memory and a glimpse.  We have a pair of roadrunners that seem to hang around.  It is hard to get a photo.

The Longhorns won the game 6 -5 over the Aggies.  Yay!  Somehow they are number 1 in the country.  The team seems to have a real team connection.  They have players hurt and someone different seems to step up every game to save the day.  It must be hard as only a handful are from the team last year.  The others have come in from the portal and played at different schools last year.  One player is 17 and came from high school in his senior year to play baseball and football for Texas.  He missed his prom this weekend.  Anyhoo, it has been interesting.   Only watching on TV but still fun.  Hook 'em Horns!

More from the Porch

What else?  When it is nice we sit on the porch.  The sketch was quick as Gene was restless and I couldn't get him to use the neck pillow and nap again.

For Scavenger Hunt from Life 156  https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-156-apr-12-apr-20.7924/

Number 1 trees - looking across the path.  I wanted to fill them in more but had to hurry too much.

The Longhorn Baseball team is  Number 1 in the SEC with a record over all of 29-5 and conference of 13-2.  Best start in ages.  Hope I don't jinx that.  They play UT Rio Grande Valley tonight in Austin.  Hook 'em Horns!

Cabrito on the Menu, but not Goat

Joanna picked up the Cabrito for our last get together.  We didn't need goat but we did need tequila.  We had never seen this brand.  I just had to sketch the bottle.  Comes in a bottle was on the list for Hunt 154.  Yay!

For Scavenger Hunt from Life 154  https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-154-mar-27-ap-4.7882/

Number 5 comes in a bottle - Cabrito tequila.  It was/is pretty good for margaritas.  Fun for a sketch in the Conda Sketchpad with a Micron 03 and a red Micron 005.  I like doing glass in pastel, much easier to get a glass feeling.  This is pretty satisfactory for ink.

The Longhorns won the first of the three game series against the Georgia Bulldogs!,  Good start to the weekend!

The game Saturday, tomorrow, will be at 2:00 p.m. so we can watch and then go to The Bugle Boy to see and listen to our friend and neighbor, Libby Koch. Libby is great.  If you get a chance you can go to LaGrange or you can stream for a small charge. The non-profit will happily take larger donations.  :-)  A great way to keep live music in the area.  You might enjoy some of the other shows on most Friday and Saturday nights.

Effortless Sketching

Sketching is calling but my effort is not answering, so ... effortless.  I did finally sketch in the Conda Sketchpad with the Micron 03 yesterday morning very early.  I sketched the little tin with a Micron 03.  Today at my comfy chair I sketched on my iPad with the app, Brushes, looking over my shoulder at the shelf over the kitchen stove.  Lazy me....

For Scavenger Hunt from Life 154 https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-154-mar-27-ap-4.7882/

Number 1, comes in a tin - an old tin from Big 12 Baseball.  Mints are probably desentegrating.

Number 2, brings back memory - the mugs, tins and more on the shelf in the kitchen over the stove.  I probably missed a few things.

Baseball

The Longhorns won the series in Missouri in a big way.  Lots of home runs and great plays.  There were a few injuries, hope not too serious. The substitute players did well though.  They had a double header yesterday as they expected weather today in Columbia, Missoouri, so no game today.  Next game is Tuesday night against Texas State in Austin.  We as a family can't lose as Joanna went to UT and Larry went to Texas State.  Hook 'em Horns!

Stuff Pastel Sketch

I put four items in my pastel sketch for the Scavenger Hunt.  I was pushed for time so only about 30-45 minutes wipe off to finish.  I wiped the cookies from the previous post.  I don't remember what kink of paper it is, about 9 x 12 inches in size.  About the fourth wipe off so holding up well!

For Scavenger Hunt from Life 153 https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-153-mar-19-mar-27.7855/

Number 1 glass - a red one
Number 2 ceramic - cup gift from Joanna, not as bright red, white and blue.
Number 3 metal - pewter vase looks more silver in the sketch
Number 4 flower - felt ones from Kathy

I didn't take time to soften colors or work on background.  I did want to get a sketch done.

Here is my setup.  Didn't work much on shadows either.

The Longhorns play baseball against LSU tonight and the weekend in Austin at UFCU Disch Falk Field.    Looks like the weather will be good!  Hook 'em Horns!!

Sugary in Pastels and Green in Watercolor

I've been wanting to sketch Gene's sugar cookies that Brandon brought him.  They are so cute from the HEB grocery and made in Bee Caves, Texas.  He had already eaten the cowboy hat and sunflower, so decided I had better get with it.    Pastels are my favorite for texture and color so just wiped off an old sketch and did this one.  Very sketchy, only about 30 minutes start to finish.

For Scavenger Hunt from Life 152  https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-152-mar-11-mar-19.7829/page-2

Number 1 sugary - Gene's cookies made for our HEB grocery in Bee Caves, TX. About palm of your hand size, individually wrapped but I sketched minus the cellophane. Lazy. I couldn't resist sketching them but didn't want to open them. Gene had eaten the cowboy hat and sunflower.
Number 2 green - the cactus cookie

The cookies were/are so cute.  They are also good to eat I'm told.  No flour for me.

I forgot to post this.  I went to take the photo of the cookies and was sidetracked.  Imagine that.

Yesterday I sketched at PT.  I'm pretty sure I sketched this before.  I planned to sketch outside for "building" but it was so windy and ugly out there.  It looks so nice from the window, but ...

Number 3,  shamrock or plant - in the waiting area.

This is in the Ohuhu sketchbook with a Sharpie Pen that is about out of ink and added watercolor at home.   It is about 6 x 7 inches

I like that sketchbook so much.  I need to order another one.  It is Mix Media and the paper takes watercolor very well and markers if you don't get too heavy with them.  Smooth paper for ink as well.

Baseball Notes....

The Longhorn baseball game was irritating.  It went into the 11th inning, 4 and a half hours.  They played UT San Antonio Roadrunners in Austin.  It was very windy still at the 630 start and through the game.  I think each team had about 4 home runs that just blew out of the stadium.  The fielders had lots of fun trying to be in the right place.  The Roadrunners won, 8 - 7.  Hook  'em Horns!  (Maybe I didn't have on a Texas shirt and my earrings!!)

We still don't have TV in the living room so I watched on my iPad and Gene watched television in our bedroom.  Hopefully we will get a TV by the weekend.  Waiting on insurance, extended warranty.  I am also trying out YouTube TV so I can get the games, but it is not so good without a smart TV.  Have to use the AppleTV with the old TV in the bedroom.  We have DirecTV by satellite which is easy but don't have sports channels.  About $50 a month more to watch baseball.  Sigh...  I guess it is cheaper than going to the games but still the principal.  The Longhorn Network and the SEC Network are "free" if you have the sports package.  YouTube has sports but the SEC+ streaming is on ESPN streaming.  Complicated for this old gal.

Tree to Mode of Transportation

It was a nice day yesterday so when Gene was at PT I sat outside and sketched a big tree which I thought was on the list.  There was an old Crown Victoria parked there, rusty and gray, so I added that in.  I didn't make the front and back long enough.  That was from the era with big cars, the 70s maybe.  Gene had a Thunderbird at work and it was huge like a Cadillac.

We came home and I had a cup from the coffee/crepe shop I found there in the same shopping center as PT Solutions.  I sketched that for "mug".  I decided to add color to the tree sketch and when I looked it up to see what number it would be I saw the "tree" was last Hunt.  Sigh.  There was however, mode of transportation and plants on this Hunt so made the sketch fit!

For Scavenger Hunt from Life 150  https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-150-feb-23-mar-02.7777/

Number 2 plants and number 3 mode of transportation - in the Ohuhu sketchbook with Micron 03 and watercolor added at home.

Number 4 mug - my latte cup I saved from the new place in the shopping center with PT Solutions.  Tecúen, a coffee shop with crepes.  Coffee was good but they don't have low fat....In the big Strathmore watercolor sketchbook.  Pencil, watercolor, Micron pens, White gel pen ....Sketched at my footstool.

Baseball note:

Longhorns are at a tournament in Las Vegas.  They won their came against the Washington Huskies last night.  Final was Horns 10 and Huskies 9.  Starting pitchers did well the first Texas score was a home run by Jalin Flores in the 2nd and Huskies had a home run in the third.  Jalin had another home run at his next at bat in the 5th and then..... Horns had a big inning in the sixth with a 3 run homer and were up 9-1.  Craig and Keith were talking that with the 10 run rule in effect, the game was  out of sight or some such in the next inning and they could go to their hotel.  Then in the top of the 7th the Huskies made 6 runs including a grand slam with no outs. Texas got one run  back in the bottom.  Huskies got 2 more in the 8th and Texas held on.   It was interesting to say the least.

They play Texas Tech tonight.  Rivals from the Big 12.  Hook 'em Horns.

Seashells in Ink

When the great-grandsons were here they picked up some seashells at the drying up lakes for me to sketch.  They put their treasures of rocks and shells in a plastic bag.  The  big shell was together but thin and broken edges.  I left it on top in the bag on the porch and then with wind it broke more.  The shell in the middle is together and all were full of dirt so put them on a napkin.   Maybe I should have washed them, eh?

For Scavenger Hunt 150 https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-150-feb-23-mar-02.7777/

Number 1 seashell - I guess they are the same as seashells but are lake shells.

Baseball

The Longhorns won over Incarnate Word last night, 6-0.  They played in Austin at the Disch.  Roger Wallace and Keith Moreland called the game.  I was happy for that.  They were on the streaming and on the radio.  Guess they are cutting expenses for baseball so they can do more for football.  Ha.  We saw some good plays and the weather was good so there was a nice crowd.  We watched on the SEC streaming.  Hook 'em Horns!

The Texas State Bobcats beat number one Texas Aggies in College Station.  Yay!!

Expensive Sketch

"Expensive" was on the Scavenger Hunt list.  I thought of jewelry or a car.  Then it hit me.  My biggest expense on groceries this last purchase was eggs.  The bird flu really drove up the already inflated price.  I imagine the chicken growers will catch up and the price of eggs will come down.  Most mornings we have an egg sandwich so that is 2 eggs a day plus any hard-boiled ones for Gene to snack on.  I do not care for hardboiled eggs.  You can read about that here:  https://jocastilloartblog.blogspot.com/2020/08/no-hard-boiled-eggs-sketch.html

We use a fair amount of eggs for two people.  I also use eggs in baking and in complete breakfasts where the eggs are eaten with potatoes, sausage and chile or pancakes and waffles.  Very occasionally egg salad sandwiches.  For that there has to be a load of ingredients mixed in to cover the hard-boiled taste of the eggs.

For Scavenger Hunt from Life 149  https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-149-feb-15-feb-23.7749/

Number 4 expensive - eggs, these are in a half carton to keep the hard-boiled eggs separate from the raw ones.  In the large Canson Mix Media sketchbook with the Micron 03.  I was going to add color ... but ... It is a blue carton for your info.

The temp is 32º now, weather app says it feels like 25º.  Brrrrrr.  I'm hoping this is the last of winter.  I warned you it would be cold for baseball.

Speaking of baseball,  the Horns play Dartmouth this weekend as mentioned.  They moved the games to noon on all three days.  I didn't catch the change so I missed yesterday's game.  The Horns won 4 - 3.  It was pretty darned cold.  It is drizzling now but imagine it will be clear and in the 40s by noon!  Hook 'em Horns!

Doorway Sketch

Another sketch with artistic license.  This time in the Conda Sketchbook with a Micron 03.  It was fast - about 10 minutes.

For Scavenger Hunt from Life 149  https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-149-feb-15-feb-23.7749/

Number 3 doorway - from my studio to the living room - left out some of the "stuff"

It is still very cold so we will be staying in today.  Brrr.  It was 20º F this morning.  We are supposed to break warm records starting Monday.  Hard to wrap our heads around.

I'm wondering about baseball.  It will be a tad warmer tomorrow but still under 40º and maybe rain on Saturday.  Dartmouth is the visiting team.  I'm sure when they made the "deal" they planned on warmish weather in central Texas.

Spicy in a Digital Sketch

I sketched while listening to the baseball game.  I wanted color but in the evening the light isn't good by my chair so I played on the iPad.  I used the app, Brushes, because that is the one I use the most so don't have to "think" as much.

 For SHFL 149  https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-149-feb-15-feb-23.7749/

Number 1 spicy - a jar of New Mexico Hatch chile.  New Mexico chile is so flavorful and yummy.

I listened to the Longhorn game again.  It was a long game. Over 4 hours I think so I had plenty of time to sketch.   Lots of batters on base with no scoring, then batters with scoring.  Final was 14-8, Horns won over Oklahoma State.  The Longhorns ended up winning the championship.  They had played in this tournament the last 3 years and lost all 3 of their games each year.  They lost the first game on Friday so we were worried.  10 games in a row lost there, yikes!  Luckily they won Saturday and Sunday.  Broke the curse or whatever it was.  Hook 'em Horns!

First game here is Tuesday evening against Houston.  Dartmouth comes in for the weekend.  Temps are supposed to be nice today and tomorrow and then in the 30s for high the rest of the week.  I told you it always gets cold for baseball.  Dartmouth players will be so disappointed that it isn't in the 60s.  Texas weather.......

Almost forgot, Austin Pastel is holding their annual show.  Check it out on their website:

Turtles Sketch

I gathered these turtles to my footstool several days ago and they sat there waiting to be sketched.  Knocked them on the floor with my feet but they insisted on staying for the sketch.

For Scavenger Hunt 148  https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-148-feb-7-feb-15.7718/
Number 5 - turtles, the bigger ones are from South America and have been refired in our fire.  The top left is a whistle with black gunk on its head.  Both the ones on top were very colorful and now just pottery colored.  The bottom left was the bright blue and white from Chile, so cute.  The smallest is silver and I don't remember where it is from.  It sits on Gene's desk so must have been a gift for him??

We stopped for take out at the Lakeline Cafe close to the house.  It is an oooolllldd saloon with pool tables, smoking  and dark and gloomy.  Had to use a flashlight to sign the receipt.  I ordered ahead to avoid the smoke but had to wait anyway.  Should have waited outside, I'm still feeling smoky.  The food is surprisingly good.  The burger for Gene was done on the old fashioned flat grill.  I had catfish basket which came with two huge pieces of catfish, hush puppies and fries.  We also received a chocolate rose.  It was hollow of course but a nice gesture.  We had that for our Valentine's Day chocolate.  Hope you had a nice time.

Baseball news .. no more art.

The Longhorns opened the season in Arlington at a tournament.  They played the Louisville Cardinal and lost 4 - 3.  They were ahead until the bottom of the 9th, 2-0.  Louisville tied it up so the game went to the 10th inning.  The Horns went ahead with a home run, but Louisville came back in the bottom and scored two runs.  Such is life.  The game was called by Craig Way and Keith Moreland.  Always good to hear them.  Thought of streaming the game but the service was sketchy so stuck with what we know and just listened.

I hope this isn't going to be like the last two years.  The Horns lost all three games in the opening tournament.  Tonight they play Old Miss and tomorrow night Oklahoma State. New coach and new players so wishing them well!   Hook 'em Horns.

You Sit on This - iPad Sketch

I've sketched about every seat in this house a few times.  I found Gene's chair to be a bit different without him in it.  I went out on the porch before the temp got to 80º F. but by the time Gene was coming out it was too warm for him.  He did, however, take off on a trike ride.  He says he makes his own breeze.

For Scavenger Hunt from Life 117  https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-117-june-4-12-2024.6915/

Number 2, You sit on this - Gene's rocker on the porch done on the iPad with the app, Brushes.

I started a pastel sketch yesterday with some celery in it.  I stopped for a break and then we started binging on Bosch: Legacy and I completely forgot the sketch and the celery.  I put the celery back in the fridge quite late.  I hope it is good for today to finish the sketch.  It shouldn't take long although celery is not easy to capture.  We shall see.

The Super Regionals are on this weekend in College Baseball.  There are no Big 12 teams left so I'm not very interested.  The best series was North Carolina and West Virginia (Big 12) but West Virginia lost in two very close games.  Ah, well, next year!  Hook'em Horns! (Longhorns will be in the SEC next year.  Not excited about that.)

Dinosaur - What?

Dinosaur is an item on the Hunt this time.  Made me smile.  Too bad my great grands aren't here with their toys.  I substituted some rocks.  They may not be as old as dinosaurs, but who knows?

 For Scavenger Hunt 116  https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-116-may-27-june-4.6890/

Number 4 dinosaur - rocks from our keepsakes.  The Rose Rock is from Oklahoma, thanks to bag blog.  The other smooth rocks must be from a beach or river.  Nova Scotia shore, Glacier Park, Rio Grande ??  Hmmm.  The little round one could be a dinosaur egg.

We are going to The Bugle Boy tonight to see our neighbor, Libby Koch, perform.  She is great and has an amazing voice.  If you can't go you can tune in on-line for a small donation (or a large one).  So good to support live music.

https://thebugleboy.org/events/

The Longhorn baseball team is playing their second game of the Regionals in College Station tonight at 8:00 p.m.  You can watch on an ESPN channel, probably ESPN+  The Longhorns won over the Ragin Cajuns yesterday and play the Texas Aggies tonight.  Hook'em!  They are hoping the Regional will be a start to their Road to Omaha for the College World Series.

Palm Sketch

An item for Hunt 115 was "fits in the palm of your hand".  As I was looking at the list and thread I saw the perfect answer.

Number 4 fits in the palm of your hand - my iPhone open to the Hunt.  In the BookFactory sketchbook with a Sharpie fine line marker.

For Hunt 115  https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-115-may-19-may-27.6867/

Running the errands and hope to watch the Longhorns this afternoon.  The Horns lost last night so it is a must win this afternoon as it is "2 and barbeque".  Win or go home.  It is supposed to be stormy but the games are in the covered stadium.  Hook'em Horns!

Hunt 114 Ink Sketches

I sketched yesterday and today out on the porch.  Lovely weather after the rainy cloudy days.  It will be warm requiring a/c in the afternoon.

I sketched in the BookFactory sketchbook with a Micron 03.  The red is a Micron 005.

For Scavenger Hunt 114  https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-114-may-11-may-19.6848/

Number 6 potato peeler - I couldn't decide which one so you have a trio

Number 7 stack of something - some potholders.  Old fashioned ones like kids make on a frame, quilted and a couple of the new plastic sort of things.  They are colorful which was on the list, too, but a sketch can only be for one item.  They are red and blue of course.

Number 8 eye - Gene's eye with a patch on the other one.  He wears the eye patch to cover his weak eye to not put so much stress on the good eye trying to focus for both.  I put the "frame" around it to separate from the other sketch and it looks like he is looking in a rear view mirror in a car. Didn't think of that.

** *** ** *** ** *** **

We are having a tail gate party of sorts for baseball today.  It is the last home game and the last Big 12 game at Disch-Falk Field.  Texas is joining the SEC.  We decided it would be so crowded and hot so Joanna is coming and Larry is coming with the grand-dogs.  He is dog sitting for Jennie and Brandon.  Larry's team, the Bobcats, play at 1 pm and the Longhorns play at 2:30 pm.  We will sit in the a/c and watch on TV!

The Thursday and Friday games were very exciting.  The Longhorns won over the Kansas Jayhawks in walk-off fashion - both games.  Very close games with a pitchers duel keeping the scores low.  Not the usual plethora of home runs.  The Horns need to win today to be seeded #2 in the tournament which starts Tuesday.  Oklahoma is #1 in the conference.  Number 1 and 2 seeds get Tuesday off and start on Wednesday.  A big advantage to save pitching and stress.  Hook 'em Horns!!

A longhorn pastel for no reason except I like it.

Hunt 110 and 111 Sketches

Scavenger Hunt 110 hosted by Joan ended today and Hunt 111 started hosted by me.  I hadn't sketched with our busy week.  PT for Gene and we had two nieces visit on the weekend.  Marikay from New Mexico and Carolyn from Tennessee.  Woohoo, what fun with all the familly.  Lots of fun and hours of conversation about "old times".  Always good.

So, being the lazy me, I sketched on the porch this morning for both Hunts.  I sketched on a page in the BookFactory sketchbook.  The top half for Hunt 110 and the bottom for Hunt 111.  Both sketches with the Micron pens.

For Hunt 110 number 2, flowers - the same old geranium from the porch/patio.

https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-110-april-9-april-17.6764/

For Hunt 111 number 1, patio - subbing the screened in porch for patio.

https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-111-apr-17-apr-25.6787/

Our Longhorn baseball team is driving us crazy.  The scores run from winning against Cal-Poly 2 - 0 and loosing to a small UT Rio Grande Valley 9 - 17.  Many lopsided scores in between.  You can see the schedule and results here: https://texassports.com/sports/baseball/schedule  I guess we are just spoiled as the team has appeared in the College World series more times than any other school and has 6 wins there.  Not looking good right now for even going.  It is the last year in the Big 12 before going to the SEC and would be nice to go out on a big win, right?  But we have a new weekend series with TCU starting Friday night!  They still have a chance!  Hook 'em Horns!

That started in Bolivia with Para los Niños. "I cannot pretend to feel impartial about colors. I rejoice with the brilliant ones and am genuinely sorry for the poor browns." -- Winston Churchill
