One of the items on the Scavenger Hunts was "Sketch this so often (but still love to sketch it)". We were on the porch so what was handy? You got it, the old bedraggled geranium.

Number 1 sketch so often - the geranium and hummingbird feeder in the Ohuhu sketchbook with watercolors and the Micron 03
Number 2 flower - there is some mimosa limbs from next door peeking through behind the juniper tree
Life took over keeping me away from sketching and posting. Gene had a visit to the stroke hospital again. He had high blood pressure so they wanted to check. Long story but he was there 2 full days. He is OK, no stroke so we are home and trying to get back in the routine. We did go to physical therapy on Friday, watched the baseball games on TV and slowly getting our _ _ _ _ (act) together.
Longhorn baseball are number 1 in the SEC (Southeast Conference) and will be in Alabama this week for the tournament. From there they will most likely be number 1 in the country and host a Regional and Super Regional on the road to Omaha, College World Series. Hook 'em Horns!

Glad your old faithful geranium is still there to be sketched! I'm happy to hear that Gene is home and was even able to get out for PT. I'm rooting for your team in the playoffs! I hope they win it.
Hi Joan, thanks so much. It is amazing the team is doing so well. The coaches' first year at Texas. Very experienced but still first year and the University's first year in the SEC. Hmmm. Hook 'em Horns!
Jo so glad hubby is okay and no stroke. Your geranium and hummingbird are both wonderful subjects. I think your hummers are different than ours...we have only two types here. They are such amazing birds. Well take care and pray that you both stay well and enjoy Baseball season. Hugs!
Glad all is well. Hugs.
Debbie, thank you. A hummer we saw in New Mexico a lot was a Rufus. They are rusty orange in color and so territorial and ornery . We have Ruby Throated here mostly. Not as many this year. Maybe it is the drought. We still are far behind in annual rainfall. Our ponds are almost dry.
