Yellow Watercolor

The new scavenger hunt has some colors on it.  I have a hard time finding yellow in our house.  There are a few tape measures and one is yellow.  There are yellow cleaning cloths and that is about it.  In my search I found this mostly yellow can of prunes.  I'm pretty sure I sketched a can of prunes in the big coffee table book but it is new to this Canson watercolor sketchbook, 9 x 12 inches.

I sketched it lightly with pencil and proceeded with watercolor brushes and watercolors.  The sketch took about an hour.  I did not erase the pencil lines.  Some of the time is waiting for layers to dry.  Sigh.

Number 1, yellow - the can of prunes
Number 2, red - glass
Number 3, blue - cord holder for Gene's ear buds

The list was sent by Ai, our sketcher in Thailand.  I was teasing her for putting "yellow" and "triangle" on the list. These are a couple of items I always have to search for.  I try not to substitute if I don't have to.  I decided to get the yellow done as soon as I could.  I will have to look for a triangle, too.

LOL When yellow comes up I tend to reach for the lemon that is usually in my fridge. I did some yellow tulips today and was going to use them for "flower" but decided to use them for "yellow" instead. What are the chances of me coming across something else that is yellow? lol

bag blog, thanks. You know I love the colors, too. Well, not so much the yellow, eh?

Joan, yes, I do usually have lemons or bananas. It is just I like to find something different and so.... Your flowers were beautiful. You do direct watercolor so well.

Jennifer Rose, Lol ... I think you said something similar the last time I sketched the prune can. I don't care much for them or the plums either. Plums are always sour on the skin or close to the seed. Pbft....
