Hooks was on the Scavenger Hunt list. I sketched at the hospital for Gene's cataract surgery. I refuse to sketch a mask so sketched the wall. Luckily when I looked at the list, there was Hooks. The list is towns in Texas. It is just off I-30 near Texarkana so we have been "by" Hooks but not "into" Hooks.
https://creativespark.art/threads/scavenger-hunt-from-life-20-apr-12-apr-20.3805/Number 3, Hooks - there is one hook there under electric cords. Other paraphernalia for connecting to the bed and patient. I recognize the oxygen connection. Not sure what the hose is for?? Vacuum cleaner?? Intubation?? Luckily we didn't have to use any of those to find out!
Gene's cataract/glaucoma surgery went well they said and we return to Austin today to get the patch taken off.
Back soon.

Well done.
R's Rue, thanks a bunch.
Good to see you sketched too! Jerry had a hose connected to the gown he was wearing and it pumped air to keep him warm. I had it when I was there too.
Jo you managed very well to get those hooks sketched. Glad to read that hubby did well with his cataract and glaucoma surgery. Will be sure to "look up" for him and you too. Hugs!
Joan, very classy. We were given a blanket each. :-) There wasn't much to sketch and from my little "room" I couldn't see much. They didn't have a snack bar place.
Debbie, thanks. Happy coincidence, I just sketched and then matched to the list. Thanks for the good thoughts.
It is nice that you were productive in the hospital. I usually read or play games while I have free internet. I hope all is still well with Gene's eyes.
bag blog, thanks for the comment. I sketched out of guilt .. ha. You see I didn't find much interesting. I usually play games, too. I don't concentrate well. We've been playing the popular word games and those take my brain away!
Gene is doing well, but hard to keep him from overdoing it.
glad the surgery went well 😀
Thanks, Jennifer. The recovery has been good. There isn't much can be done with the glaucoma part. They did put in a stent and we will see if that helps.
