Hunt 614 Mailbox

I've wanted to sketch the mailbox since this Hunt started.  The Hunt ends Monday, so I barely made it.  I really need to paint the real mailbox.  It was painted like a house.  It is made of iron and the painting has rubbed off and it is rusty.  One of these days.  I would have liked for the US Flag to be up for the sketch, but not to be for today.  I did put in the flag pole without flag.

Number 2 mailbox - out front of our house.

We went to Paige, Texas, to mail calendars yesterday.  It was cheaper there, not sure why.  They did not put tracking and they did in Bastrop, obligatory.  Weird.  We had lunch/early dinner at the Hunan in Giddings.  We heard years ago that it was good and had never tried it.  It was not 5 star and no wine but very good for lunch and we had leftovers for lunch today.  We probably won't drive to there just to eat.  It was 12 miles past Paige.

Nice sketch of the mailbox and the decorations around it. Sounds like you did a bit of traveling to the post office and the restaurant. What are your plans for Christmas?

Thanks, Joan. We will be home with the Texas bunch and visit with our grandchildren and David's family in Kentucky by phone and videos. Pretty normal. Supposed to be nice and warm about 75 degrees and sunny. New Mexican food all around.

just take a can of brightly colour spray paint to the mail box, easier than painting it like a house lol (im lazy)
