And the deli
http://neworldeli.com/
Byrd and Street (Tommy and Kathy) had been in New Mexico and Colorado when we were there but we were just a hair too far from them to see them and surprise them. Besides being musicians they are both fine artists. Tommy is a great song writer and Kathy has a voice like an angel. We definitely needed a Byrd and Street fix.
The deli has sandwiches, soup and salad, coffee, bar, desserts, etc. Good food. Order a half sandwich to get a regular size sandwich! I had a tuna melt (I'm in to tuna this week) and forgot so have a whole sandwich for today, too.
I did a sketch and hesitate to post it. Sketching live is a challenge. It doesn't look like the duo, but I did get out my pen. Sorry, Kathy and Tommy. I should sketch real people more often. On the other hand, I'm not a portrait person either, so.....

Number 10, give out sound - Kathy and Tommy
The folks at the table were eating before the show started. An older couple and doesn't look like them either.
Byrd and Street, Kathy and Tommy, in Taos a couple of years ago.
Well, back to packing art supplies so I can look at them in New Mexico like I do here.

I've been listening to the Byrd and Street CDs you gave me. I like them lots.
Bag Blog, happy that you like the music. They are just as good as their music, too. Great folks!
It is so hard to get a likeness of people when they are performing and moving. You have to concentrate on their body position too much. I think you did a pretty good job. I need to get over to the hunts...maybe I should do it right now.
Joan, thank you. It is hard to do everything and stay sane. See you on the Hunts when we can! That is all I've been doing lately, that will change now we are traveling. At least I'm planning on more painting!
