The list for Scavenger Hunt 427 http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1391841 had two of my favorites: yellow and orange. (being facetious) We don't have very many yellow things in our world. The yellow cleaning cloths I drew last time and Gene's yellow calendar. Orange is about the same except for the University of Texas burnt orange stuff.
Number 6, egg/shells - the eggs and shells look like rocks. I should have used pastels. Rock is on the list, I could have used this sketch for that!
Number 7, orange - Gene's water bottle. I think I have sketched it for orange before.
Number 8, yellow - I scrounged around and finally found this box of corn starch.
I used the regular tools and added some watercolor.
There is a student art event coming up in Smithville next week. They will also have a bit of Shakespeare at the school. We won't be here but hope some of you go and support the youth in our county. Click to see larger.
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

Hmm, yellow and orange? I have a friend here in OK that hates orange, but it seems as she gets older, more things she likes have orange. I feel that way about blue.
Nice sketches! How great that there are some student art events going on!!!
Bag Blog, yes, no orange and yellow clothes or knick knacks, curtains, etc. I do have a painting or two of yellow cactus flowers. Smile. I love blue but don't wear much except navy or dark blues.
Joan, thank you. They are having more young folks art opportunities. Since the schools don't do much, some of the other organizations help.
It's interesting to think about this challenge and wonder what I would do. I love yellow and do have some nice yellow knit tops, but not a lot else in terms of things around the house----hmmmm. Food for thought. You take on intriguing challenges and always get me thinking, Jo.
Mary, yellow and orange make me think, too. Ha. Thanks for stopping. You have an interesting post about whether to sell or keep paintings. Makes me think!
