Scavenger Hunt 415, Sketches, Photo

Scavenger Hunt 415 http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?p=20553044&posted=1#post20553044 is well underway.  I am hosting so if you would like to try sketching from life, come on over!

I sketched on the porch yesterday and in the house this morning.  It was not exactly warm yesterday, I think it got up to about 62 degrees F and this morning it is 50 degrees.  Not sitting on the porch morning for me.  We did do that the first couple of years we came up here.  Younger and didn't mind the cold.  Ha.

I sketched with the Micron 01 in the travel sketchbook.  It is 5.5 x 8.5 inches, Canson.  I sketch quickly and free hand.

Number 1, window - dining area
Number 2, appliance - one of 3 coffeemakers :-)
Number 3, shelf - the miserable internet modem on the bottom shelf.  All the internet here in AXX is provided through the Resort.  They are putting in cable or new wires so should improve some time down the road.  It is weak and slow with so many devices now.  We have 2 phones, 2 computers, 1 Kindle Fire and 1 iPad.  I can't imagine when the town is full of skiers.

Number 4, yard art - Two trees have ceramic faces on them, but the other one is behind this one in the view from the porch.

Number 5, has wheels - our car (Expedition)

Number 6, on the wall - a small 8 inch or so wreath that has tiny apples on it.
Number 7, alive - plants and a bird we can't identify.  It is mostly grey with black feathers on wings and tail with a couple of white spots on the tail.
Number 8, from the living room - a harness wall clock with Gene's hats hanging on it.

A few photos to add some color!

Tom and the other Jo stopped by for a visit.  That was fun.  Their grandson took the photo.

The ceramic face on the tree, you can see the other peeking through.  The back face has lost an eye.  I picked it up, but we can't reach with a 6 foot ladder to put it back on the tree.  We need a longer ladder and taller person.

Gene reading his paper and relaxing on the porch.

I'm ready for some cooler weather. We have had some rain the last few days, so it was a bit cooler, but so stinking humid.

I remember your tree art. Love the sketches!

Bag Blog, I have enjoyed the cool weather, but yesterday after my walk I got chilled so went and sat in the car and took a nap, so nice and cozy. Ha.

Thanks on the sketches.

Jennifer Rose, We are here for the cool weather, but not too cool. Ha. No more bear sightings but neighbors said the bear got in their hummingbird feeders and bird houses, too. Must have been the same night. There is not so much lots to draw, just different from home.

Joan, Thanks. It is fun to see photos from different areas and I enjoy your photos and sketches, too.
