Baseball and a Sketch

Wow, exciting baseball yesterday. The Texas Longhorns are in the Super Regional with TCU and it is the best of three to get to the College World Series. TCU won the first on in a heart breaker and Texas won big, 14-1 yesterday to keep the series going. Today is it! Read about it on Joanna's Longhorn Baseball Page. Hook 'em Horns!

I managed a sketch at the end while we were waiting for the crowd to leave and listening to the post game show. It fits in Scavenger Hunt 180 .. well, I can make it fit .. for Number 3, back and forth.

The crew preparing the mound for tomorrow. One guy raking the new dirt in ... back and forth.

Taylor Jungman warming up.

The flags in the strong breeze. We were lucky it was so cloudy, it was so hot and humid even with the clouds.

Kendal Carrillo coming in in the ninth to relieve Taylor, who got a standing ovation and curtain call. The Horns were super!

The Eyes of Texas at the end. The music can't be played on the loud speakers as the field is a "neutral zone" for the tournament. The crowd just sings. Pretty cool. The gift shop only sells the NCAA shirts and such. Texas stuff is sold outside in a trailer.
