Scavenger Sketches for Hunt 180

I sketched a couple at my studio yesterday. I was looking back at some sketches from last summer or so and I have really not been taking much care in my sketches. They are all looking cartoon like. Guess I had better pay a little more attention. These are in my big notebook paper size sketchbook with a regular old Pilot ball point pen for Scavenger Hunt 180.

Number 1, key and keyhole for the key.

Number 2, form of water. The ice and water in my mug at the studio. I tried to capture the dew on the outside of the glass. Hard to do in black and white.

It will be a busy week. I'm taking some watercolor classes and teaching 3 classes. Also working on my show for New Mexico.

I was cleaning my studio yesterday and when I was mopping the floor I put on my iTunes and started up, "Take this job and shove it." After that I didn't pay attention and as I finished a classical song by the Three Tenors came on. I guess the iTunes appreciated me cleaning up the place, too! It is interesting how iTunes works.

I left up my sign on the door that says "Artist at Work, Come In". I was working, right?

Hi Jo, I always love seeing your sketches, I need to draw more. Post some photos of the new gallery if you get a chance. Would love to see it, hint hint

Hi Barbara, thanks. Sketching is something I make myself do, sort of like homework. If you scroll to the bottom of my posts and click on Studio you will find posts about my studio. I think I will make a page for that, too. Thanks for the idea!

You're such a dedicated sketcher! I keep thinking I will eventually start such exemplary habits.... but, alas, the garden beckons!

I tell you, sketching is my chore/homework. The Scavenger Hunts keep me going, all the guilt if I don't post. :)
