I managed a few sketches for Scavenger Hunt 178. They are in the small sketchbook with a Micron 03 pen. Freehand of course.
Number 6, place you've been. Oklahoma City at the Bourbon Street Cafe. Dungeons across the canal was not open, thankfully. It was so loud last year that it drowned out the jazz from our spot.
Number 7, outdoor chair. The Bourbon Street Cafe from the other side of the canal.
It was another sad day for the Longhorns. They lost to Texas Tech. I guess having Brandon Loy out with an injury just has the whole team out of kilter or off kilter?? Maybe it is let down after all the winning and the fact that they don't need to win this tournament to continue on the road to the College World Series. The other teams need the wins desperately and they are always anxious to win over Texas. It makes their whole year to beat the Longhorns. Guess that is the way it goes. Read Joanna's Longhorn Baseball Page for the run down.
Our day was great! Lou (Bag Blog) and Toby came up yesterday to go to the games with us and took us to dinner! Their son and family came, too. The granddaughters are so precious .... and full of spunk. We enjoyed the afternoon and visiting. We met via our blogs and I swear Lou and I are related. We do many things alike and like the same things. We can't talk fast enough to get in all our stories. They were rooting for Tech but that is OK, too. I rooted for them some when we lived in Lubbock, right? We watched part of the second game between Missouri and the Texas Aggies. (The Aggies won and will play in the championship on Sunday) Maybe we will see Lou and Toby again this summer in Angel Fire. I forgot to get a photo of us, but you can check this one from last year when we met.
Here are some photos from the day.
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

Love the cafe sketch... those little bistro chairs are just so inviting!
Teresa, they are! We will go there tomorrow after the game at 12:30 p.m. Who knows when we will be back! :)
I had a great time, although my allergies started giving me fits. It is hard not to cheer for TT or
A&M - just a family thang. I do hope we see you in the mountains this summer.
Hi, Bag Blog, it was fun. You have a neat family and cheering for TT or A&M is OK by me. See you in the summer!
