All Fired Up .. glass and pottery show, Bastrop

All Fired Up is the name of the show at the Bastrop Fine Arts Guild Gallery for May. Markie and Lea Cundy are a pair of the featured artists. I have mentioned them on the blog before. Markie is a young fused glass artist and Lea, his mom, is a wonderful potter. Lea makes beautiful bluebonnet and Texas wildflower designs. It was fun to attend the opening last Saturday evening and visit with them and the other artists. They had some beautiful pieces, good food, good music and good times. If you are in Bastrop this month, stop by the Gallery at 1009 Main Street, downtown, and have a look.

Markie displaying one of his pieces. He makes jewelry as well.

Lea talking to Gene in the food area with some other guests.

Mike Henderson, artist, guitar player and singer, and Lea. Mike will be the featured artist at the Gallery in June.

Joan, thank you. Lea does beautiful work and is a great person and Markie is cut from the same mold. :)

Can you hear me howling with homesickness?
I miss Bastrop, and Lea, and Jo, and Gene and Mark, and Mike and the gallery, and sitting behind the gallery and having brisket, and...

Leslie, you know the only cure for that disease, don't you? It isn't quite the same. But, we miss you, too. Maybe we will get to AZ this summer. Hope so.
