Old and Ugly Mess

Sketching the old, ugly mess continues.  This seems to be my theme for this Scavenger Hunt from Life.  The Hunts do require sketching things from life and my studio is real and a mess.  I'm pretty sure that my lack of enthusiasm for painting has nothing to do with the mess, what do you think?

Number 2, Old - the toys on the shelf of my drafting table.  The elephant is from my childhood so that makes it about 70 years old.  Yikes.  The others are since 2011.

Number 3, Ugly - the ugly mess on the corner of the drafting table.  This is only a small part of what is on the table, including a couple of old computers I need to deal with.  Sigh.....

Gene rode his trike this morning, anticipating a bit more rain today.  We can only hope.  I opened the rain barrel to catch some water after the roof was washed off yesterday.  That will probably cancel the rain chances.  Fingers crossed.

Love the stuffies, especially that you have the elephant from your childhood. Messes seem to be everywhere. lol

Hope you got more rain today. I was hoping to take a ride down to the beach to see the big waves from the "tropical storm" off our coast, but ended up going out sketching with a friend instead. I hope the coastal erosion isn't too bad this time.

Joan, yes all the little animals are cute. I have to hide them from the Grand-dogs when they come. We ended up with about 2.5 inches of rain over the two days. Lovely. Still a burn ban on and still very dry.

Happy the storm didn't affect you personally. Hope the beach is intact. Your paintings of the area are always so lovely. Thanks for commenting.
