Another watercolor for the water media challenge on creativespark.art I'm learning about watercolor but mostly that I need more patience.
I sketched in pencil and then put the watercolor. The elephant was so vague that I added some ink. Maybe I should have just made the background darker. Practice, practice. You are welcome to come paint along.

We expect the heat and no rain to last through the end of the month. Wow. There have been a few fires. One guy said he had a jug of water in his car and it acted like a prism and caught the floor rug on fire. Stay cool and safe!!

Sorry you aren't getting a break from the heat and lack of rain. We needed rain so I was glad to see that when it did rain today (several times) it wasn't just a sprinkle. Be careful out there!
A darker background may have been just what the elephant ordered. lol
