Thursday evening was the paint and dine at the 602 Brew Pub on Main. There weren't many artists there. I took watercolors to practice and also because there aren't many things to carry. I did forget the regular brushes which I wanted to use on the bigger paper. I had to use the waterbrushes and with water always in the brush it is hard to use dry brush to remove color or make narrow lines. I added a bit of ink for this reason. All in all, I like it.
Blues in Water
Watercolor on Arches Watercolor paper

I did the same painting for a card for Joanna's birthday in 2015. It was about 5 x 7 inches. I used it for my reference.

In some ways the card is better. I think it is more spontaneous, so fresher looking. The photo color is not as good from an old post. It was probably a photo instead of a scan. I like the background better, maybe it was real brushes and water instead of waterbrushes.
