Hunt 73 Really

Scavenger Hunt from Life 73 is underway.  Why is it always a surprise that it is time for a new Hunt?  Maybe as I'm slowing down and don't get very many sketches done.  Hmmm.

Number 1, dragonfly - in the Canson mix media sketchbook, 9 x 12 inches, about half a page with Micron 03 pen and watercolor.  This is a bronze metal dragonfly we bought in Angel Fire a few years ago.  It is about 10 inches long.  We have real dragonflies out in the field but it is supposed to be 104º F today with a feel like temperature of 114-120º, so I'll sketch inside, thank you very much.

Not art:

Gene was clearing out his email and found this video.  It is by a soldier that lost his limbs in Afghanistan on his third tour.  It is inspiring.  It also makes me feel guilty when I think of complaining because I'm tired or have a paper cut.  At any rate the one line about Marines made me laugh so sent it to David, our Marine.

Love the sketch. 🧡🧡
And, the Marine comment also made me laugh. :-)

Joanna, I know you like the subject of the sketch. We don't have too many dragonflies yet, but know they are coming.

Super dragonfly sketch. Nice that you have your own.

The video was good. He has such a positive attitude about life and his position in it. Great sense of humor too. Thanks for sharing it!

Joan, thank you. We have some amazing vets, wish we took better care of all of them. Too many on the streets.
