Playing in Watercolor and Ink

I occasionally practice my watercolors.  I took up the October water media challenge on CreativeSpark.art

https://creativespark.art/threads/october-2022-watermedia-challenge.4484/

You can see the photos  supplied by KreativeK.  I chose the pumpkins.  It seemed to be the easiest choice.

These are in the Canson watercolor sketchbook, 9 x 12 inches.  I used a variety of watercolors.  I am not very patient if I have to wait on parts to dry.  That is a surprise, right??

Wednesday I was on the porch as usual.  I sketched for the Scavenger Hunts in the ArtSpace sketchbook, 9 x 12 inches, with a Micron 03.

Number 4, viewed from above directly down - sketchbook on footstool and feet.
Number 3, keys - these must be for the trailer.  Lots of keys some for door, hitch and ???

Ink is the fastest medium for me to use.  It dries as you put it down or at least very quickly.  It is once and done.  My favorite sketching is with pen and ink.

My favorite for painting is pastels.  Again once and done in most cases.  You can leave it and come back with no waiting time for drying.

Your painting of the pumpkins came out great. It is a pain to have to wait for the watercolors to dry out. I'm always putting them in a sunny spot to dry quicker.
