More of Hunt 42

Two days of sketching on the porch of course.  Sunday I sketched in the Ohuhu sketchbook with the Blick gray markers.

Number 1, elastic in the hem of the sweats
Number 2, flexible, my knee and ankle

Today, again on the porch.  It was a bit cool.  We finally had .75 inches of rain after 42 days with none.  Yay.

Number 3, anchor - sketched with the app, Brushes, on my iPad with the Apple pencil

I was reading the list to Gene so that he might think of something to sketch that I haven't sketched fifty times .... or five times.  The list is alphabetical so the first word I read was"anchor".  I said something like Joan sketches boats all the time and maybe Joe, who made the list and was in the Navy, would be the only ones that might have or see an anchor.  Gene says, "We have an anchor on the back porch!"

Really, I have seen it over and over almost every day.  I had forgotten what it was and see it like any knickknack or keepsake we have around.  Duh.....  So there you have an anchor.  Why?? Gene must have found it someplace.  He finds lots of things out riding his trike.  He used to go much farther and varied his route more on the bicycle so maybe it has been around a very long time.  I've been on very few boats and none around here.

I do not remember were the anchor came from or how long it has been around, I am going to guess that it came from one of the two ponds which make up our back yard and provide a great view for us, they are a bit low but the first year when we move in to this house they were completely dry and kids used to walk across them. I hope the level does not get that bad again.

Gene, hi there. Thanks for your input. You are probably right. Our ponds are about as close as we get to boats. Ha.

R's Rue, thank you so much. See ya later.

The anchor is an interesting item as well as the pants stretcher. If I keep snacking I may need to borrow that. lol

Joan, Ha. The machine was always too small for my jeans/Levis. Hope you don't need it, but will be happy to send it. :-)
