These nice mornings find us on the porch. We can't be out there very long but a good place to start the day. Gene went on his trike this morning. He is aiming for 10 miles, hope he makes it!
I sketched with the Blick gray markers, a Micron 08 black, a Gelly Roll white and colored pencils. I spent about an hour sketching and enjoying coffee and a snack.

Number 2, can - With shown tools in the Art Street Mixed Media sketchbook, 8.5 x 11 inches. I think I got this at a dollar type store. It has pretty good paper. The markers have a chisel edge and a brush point. Can't do really fine lines but they are nice. (you can click on the image to see it a bit larger)
Number 3, label - I used the white Gelly Roll to make the small white letters.
Number 4, fancy - the copper and beaded glass hummingbird feeder. The birds seem to like the cheap plastic feeder better. Ha.

Looks like someone rode over the can and squashed it. Nice sketch of it!!! I've been watching the weather and some rain is heading toward Texas...hope some of it reaches you.
Ha, thanks, Joan. We smash the cans for recycling as we have to take the recycle to Smithville and save it up for a couple of weeks. The labels go in a paper box. Did you ever step on cans to bend around your foot and walk on them to make crunchy steps? I think of that when we smash cans.
I've been playing with my white gelly roll pens on black paper. Just doodles. But you have given me a new idea on trying them when I need a white line on watercolor. It should work.
bag blog, I got the white Gelly Roll just for lines and lettering on my watercolor sketches. Joan Tavolott gave me the idea. Works well. I can also cover some mistakes on my black and white sketches with ink.
