Early Birthday for Joanna

We will celebrate Joanna's birthday today.  We can all get together easier today than tomorrow.  Some New Mexico chile and beans and rice.  Fresh flour tortillas.

I didn't make a new sketch today.  Too much to do.  I used this watercolor sketch from a few months ago for Joanna's card.

It is a hot time in this part of the world.  Hot and dry.  Should be a good day to celebrate.

Let the celebrations begin!

Happy Birthday Joanna!  Happy Independence Day July 4!

Happy 4th of July!!! I hope you had a great celebration with Joanna. I used to make a cake that looked like a flag for my mom's birthday on the 4th...blueberries, strawberries and white whipped cream. Yummy!

Joan, thanks. It’s been fun for us to have Joanna’s day on the 4th. Not sure if so much for her! The cake sounds delish. Maybe next year!

It has been too long since I have looked in on you, Jo. Happy 4th of July; I hope you enjoyed the birthday celebrations, Joanna's and our nation's. I am thankful to live in the USA and hope we can move ahead to solve some of our current problems. Respecting and listening to each other regardless of political views would be a great start, in my opinion.

Joan, thank you. Your cake sounds great. Will have to give it a try as a bonus dessert. The carrot cake is tradition. Ha. Thinking of your Mom. :-)

Mary, It has been a while. Thank you so much for stopping in. Hope your Independence Day was super. We all need to talk, we agree on so much. Thanks again and hugs.
