Inktober has come to an end. It is always good to finish a project. I sketch or paint almost every day, but when we have a challenge to sketch every day to a prompt, with ink, it becomes a little like homework. I enjoyed but am glad it is over. Some of my sketches were pretty good. I like to sketch from life so the sketches from photos are not as satisfying to me.
The last prompt for Inktober was Risk. My first sketch is traffic and maybe flying. Driving is much more risky than flying though. This is from a photo I took a while back on the way to Austin. There is a toll road now so the signs would be different. Sketched with a Micron 02 pen
The second sketch is from life. I sketched at the Longhorn baseball game on Sunday. I first just sketched the batter, catcher and umpire. I decided to put in a vague background which is hard with ink. Sketched with a Pilot ball point pen.
I sketched on my iPad for a quick sketch for Scavenger Hunt 699. We had some clouds today, wispy. We had a few clear days with no clouds to sketch from life. I used the app, Brushes, as I am more familiar with it for something quick.
Monday was pastel class. Next post about that.

I don't really like sketching from photos either...real life is much more exciting. Nice action in the baseball sketch!
Beautiful 😍
Joan, you sketch so much, I can understand. Thank you. Baseball sketches are fun but in the "real" games I end up keeping score and don't sketch. Fall ball is just to see the players and have fun.
R's Rue, thank you so much.
You both make my day.
I haven't posted my last inktobers, but I will try to get around to it. I seem to have a cold or allergies. Either way, I feel rundown. This art battle is eating my lunch. I like your sketches, and like you, I'm glad this is over.
Bag Blog, thanks. Your sketches have been lots of fun. I'm sure the Art Battle is stressful. You will do well, I am sure. Rest up and have a great time at the Battle.
monthly challenges are nice to do but even better when they are over lol
Jennifer Rose, don't you know it! Done and sigh.......
