Everyone has gone home. Yesterday, we took Gene's sister to Houston for her flight so she would have a non stop flight back to Albuquerque. It is very quiet here. When we got back, I sketched with the big book on my footstool while we watched TV. Not such a good idea in the dim light. Sometimes you just have to do the sketch when you have the idea. Gene was nice and still so that part was great. He didn't have to pose.

Number 5 human - Gene very intense watching TV. Doesn't much look like him and his head is too big for his body. I am not a portrait painter as you can see. He is a good model but I didn't capture him very well.
Number 6 nascent - my hands emerging as a nascent sketch
We had a pretty morning and day on the 4th I think it was.
The morning fog in a panoramic view of the back yard. You couldn't see the far trees or water even with the sun up.
And later in the afternoon, Joanna and I went for a short walk hunting the sunset, but it wasn't very spectacular with no clouds. The water and birds were nice.

Funny how quiet it gets when people leave. Glad you had such good company lately!!
Joan, so true. We did have a nice time with the family. We have missed that. Plus we are all fine. :-)
