Path to a Deck of Cards -sketching

Not much going on here.  We have been walking early in the morning so I sketched the path.  I needed something in the big book.  I sketched "Deck of Cards".  Both for Scavenger Hunt 641 on wetcanvas.

I took the travel sketchbook on our walk.  The path goes around the westerly lake/pond.  I sat at the same table where I sketched the lake before and sketched the path.  Number 1, something moving away from you.

Number 2, deck of cards.  I must have bought these when we rode the  Toltec Scenic Train from Antonito, Colorado to Chama, New Mexico.  That should be on the 4 of Spades.  I forgot to write it on.  I did on the sketch but not taking another photo.  The King of Diamonds card is for the Durango Silverton, Colorado, narrow gauge.  We rode both of those and hope to ride the one in Bardstown one of these days.

It was Joanna's birthday way back on July 4.  We finally celebrated last Saturday.  This is the watercolor card I made for her.

I love the sketches of the cards from the deck with the trains on them...fun! Once again I'm lagging behind on the hunt sketches. I haven't been very motivated to sketch lately and find myself doing a sketch for my blog in the evening. It has been hot, so when I have a little bit of time I have been heading over to the pool in our development. It is cool and kicking with my noodle relaxes me. ):

Joan, thank you. Trains are fun. We were going on the train again this next trip but decided we might get quarantined along the way!
You have been sketching quite a bit, just not on the Hunts. Enjoy the pool and some down time, you deserve it. Hugs to you both.

That is a great little watercolor! While with my sister this past week, she kept saying how we used to eat at Chama. I kept correcting her and saying Chimayo. Sometimes, I said "Chamisal" - good grief.

Bag Blog, ha. We love eating at Chimayo. Haven't eaten in Chama very much, heh. Our words get tangled. I read your answer to my comment on your post,"More Watercolor Month Paintings" and I saw Mouthwatering Paintings or some such. Made me laugh, although your watercolors are mouthwatering.
