Umbrella on a Trike in Pastel

I sketched my art umbrella.  We found it works well on Gene's trike.  He forgot his flags when we were in Red River for the Quick Draw during the Wildrivers Paint Out.  We tried the umbrella so people can see him on the road.  Not a bad substitute for the flags.

This is for Scavenger Hunt 600.  http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1470223  I still can't believe how many Hunts we have done.  We started in 2006.  Yikes!

Number 3, umbrella
Number 4, orange - Gene's Catrike
This is on Canson MiTeintes paper with assorted pastels.  The paper is the powder blue.

I also fixed the geranium painting so Gene can get it framed.  It will be in a black gallery style frame against plexiglass.  I get these from framesbymail.com.  Very reasonable frames and fast service.

You can see how much pastel fell off when it fell face down on the garage floor.  I showed the original a few posts back with an Oops added.  Below the fixed final painting for a gift.

And a couple of photos from our day yesterday...

A little herd of young bucks in the neighborhood.

Looking across a meadow to the ski lift here in Angel Fire.  Bet the sunset was gorgeous.  We can't see from the cabin.  Too many trees.

LOVE the geranium painting, Jo! I'm so glad you could fix it after its oops. The flowers have lovely depth and are really vibrant.

Mary, thank you. Pastels are very forgiving...
