Old Timer, Pastel Painting
The Southwestern/Western Forum on wetcanvas.com has a June Challenge. There are photos from several artists to pick from in June. I decided I would paint from the photo of an old house in my hometown that I provided for the challenge. It is more practice for the paint out in New Mexico in July.

Thanks, Joan. The mountains weren't on that side of the house, but are important to our town, so artistic license. Heh, heh.

Jennifer Rose, thank you. Our old hometown is interesting. It is trying to reinvent itself as an art community. It went from mining to cattle to not much....around 800 people most of the time.
