I sketched our lake/pond yesterday from the porch. I used a Prismacolor 05 and a brush pen. About 20 minutes.
Number 4, lake - the easterly pond.
Then the fun started. Joanna recommended I use a password generator/protector. I installed the one she suggested. About the same time my computer started crashing and usually when using wetcanvas. We’ve had issues before with wc so I figured it was a combination of the two. I uninstalled the password app and Firefox. Reinstalled Firefox as it worked better on my old iMac. Still freezing. Uninstalled Firefox again and so it went for a few hours. Next thing my iMac wouldn’t open. I discovered that I bought it in 2008. Wow. Joanna will come check it out on Friday or Saturday. I’m the meantime it is typing on my IPad and iPhone. Drat.
I will probably have to get a new Mac. A laptop or desktop? Joanna suggests a laptop with a monitor and regular keyboard when home. Neither makes me happy as everything works with apps. With the poor internet that isn’t a great option.
I will not have Photoshop Elements to work on photos. To resize this photo I had to use two apps. Then in my photos I can’t tell what size the photos are or see the name so had to get another app for that. I will have to open each photo or copy to see which is which. So there will be many steps to do my blog. Once I have a computer I will have to pay a monthly fee to use something like Photoshop or pay big bucks for the business version.
I will have to work on my website with an app or some such with a fee. I can join FASO or Daily Paintworks, which are good values, but it is still online and not on my computer. Plus I host Roger's website and David's.
Woe is me!
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

On my Mac if I export a photo to my desktop I can then resize it by going to Tools and then "adjust size". I change it to 640 x 480. That's what I do for WC all the time.
Thanks, Joan. It’s my Mac that is down. I’m working on the iPad which is the problem.
they are free photo editing software to use, if you just doing basic things like resizing, gimp and irfanview (not sure if there's a mac version of irfanview can do bulk image resize - handy if you need to resize a lot of images) you have many options besides photoshop
oh check out affinity photo, one off payment and it has a very similar layout to photoshop, its a good program I would be getting if I had the money, and its not that much money (car payments come first though lol)
Jennifer Rose, I’m mainly just spoiled to my old stuff. Our slow internet in the boonies doesn’t make working online easy, so I like having it all on my computer. Maybe I just like to complain. ;-)
Jennifer Rose, I will check out affinity.
