It isn't easy to find an easy place for a nocturnal sketch. We were at the hospital and trying to sleep. This was the view out the window of the Austin Capital and downtown.
Number 3, landscape - well, a cityscape on my iPad with ArtRage and my fingers. I don't use ArtRage much. It is a nice program, but I like the tools better on Brushes. It might be because I have used it more.
I took this photo to show the walkway from the parking area to the hospital. Very handy it goes across 15th Street.
Number 1, hand - Jennie's hand in my small sketchbook with a Prismacolor 01.
Number 2, face - Jennie's during nap time. I should have put the chair behind her to make it a more natural gesture. She was taking one of her 10 minute power naps.
These are for Scavenger Hunt 565.

Gene had DBS surgery yesterday. We are home now and all is going well. It will be about a month before it is all done, but well on the way, now.
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

glad things are going well, scary surgery to have
Jennifer Rose, all looks good. Just the waiting between the surgery and turning on the battery is the hardest part now. :-)
Glad to hear that things are going well with Gene. Any kind of surgery is scary and I know you must have been worried.
Thanks, Joan. It will be very exciting if the DBS works like it is supposed to. Looking good so far.
Sorry, I am behind on my blogging and commenting. I'm glad Gene's surgery went well and hope that all goes well and he gets lots of help from the procedure.
Bag Blog, commenting is absolutely not necessary, but I do love hearing from you. Thanks. Gene is a bit stir crazy but doing well.
