Music, Music, Music!

The 9th Annual Mistletoe Jam is on for December 1 at Threadgil's North in Austin.  What a lineup!  George Ensle is amazing as are the others.  The musicians donate their time.  Fun, fun, fun.

Bird and Street are wonderful for hosting this fundraiser for the Heart Gallery, helping older children to find a forever home.  Hope you can either go or donate.  We always support this event.

I sketched in the big coffee table book with a Prismacolor 01 fine line marker/pen.  I take photos of the big book and the fine line of an 01 doesn't show as well.  Hard to get the background white without losing some of the lines.  The book is too big for my scanner without breaking the spine of the book.

Back to my watercolor homework.  Grumble, grumble.....

Sounds like a great day of music!! I like your painting. Like with most mediums it pays to use better paper even though we think we are just "practicing." I do it all the time and get buckles on something that comes out really good...and I regret it once again. lol

Thanks, Joan. Such a good reminder. I was sure that particular painting of the poinsettias would not be a keeper, photo was not good. So decided to try that paper once more. Thought maybe it was just me learning. It is not good paper. lol

Jennifer Rose, ah, I just can't do it. It is for Jennie's coffee table. Better fuzzy photos. Ha.

The Mistletoe Jam looks like great fun. I wish we were in Austin to enjoy the music.

Bag Blog, I wish you were here, too. What fun that would be. Woot!
