Sketching 456

I sketched in Austin yesterday.  In the small travel sketchbook with a Micron 01.  Quick and sketchy and unfinished.  Maybe that is the real nature of sketching.

Number 6, indoor scene - an unoccupied desk area at the credit union.

Blogs are not the most popular social media at the moment.  I continue to work on mine.  I use my blog as a journal.  I was never able to keep up with a diary or regular journal.  I have been fairly consistent with this and am happy to keep it going.  I like that it is ad free and I can make it and write in it as I see fit.  Some of the other forums show what they want, like facebook.  I'm drifting away from fb for sure.

We went to Gene's neurosurgeon yesterday for a checkup after the medicine change.  He is good until we get back from NM.  We went to the credit union to check on our IRAs.  Then I had a routine vascular test.  So our health and finances are OK.

My blog may become more interesting with our trip to New Mexico.  I usually paint more.  Hopefully that will be the case this year.  We plan to go to the Old Timers Rodeo weekend in Magdalena.  We haven't been in years.  We are the old timers now.  We might see a few high school friends and family.  I will let you know how it goes.

Nice that you sketched when you were out and about. Glad your test results were good.

Thanks, Joan and Jennifer Rose.

We will see the Old Timers Rodeo in our hometown next weekend. Participants have to be over 50 year old. In the team roping the team has to add up to 100 so you can have a 30 year old and a 70 year old. Usually pretty good fun. Stock people nowadays spend so much on rodeo animals that they take super care of their investments. They are very regulated in how they handle them.
