Our holiday is winding down.  Jennie and the grand dogs left about 1 p.m.  We had a great time.

We cooked the last of the chile balls this morning.  Green chile (from New Mexico, the best) mixed with garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, pork and beef.  Dipped in chile relleno batter and fried.  We made some in a casserole, too, earlier in the week and baked them so you don't have the deep frying oil on them.  These are traditional.

The last "family" breakfast with tamales, enchiladas, chile balls, fried potatoes, red and green chile (known as Christmas in New Mexico) and tortillas.  So good.....

It is so quiet and still here with everyone gone.  Nice and lonely at the same time.
