This is across the lake with a bit of frost this morning. Just gorgeous.
I'm not a fan of eating birds in general. I think Roger has a great idea. Cook it in red chile from New Mexico. Everything's better with New Mexico Chile on it.
We should be thankful for our service men and women first of all. Hope they and all the first responders are safe out there today and everyday. Thank you to our freedom keepers!
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
If you put Thanksgiving in the search box, upper left you can see our past traditional and not so traditional Thanksgiving days. In South America we celebrated with Canadians, too. Lovely to have two special days of thanks.

Happy Thanksgiving! My family doesn't like turkey either. I usually do prime rib. Just me & mom this year, I thought we were going to go to a restaurant but I found a deal on prime rib last minute.
happy thanksgiving to you all :)
I'm not a fan of turkey but I think I would try that with the chile on it :)
Love seeing the turkey covered in red!!! I love turkey and most of the traditional sides that go with it. We were at my SIL's yesterday so we didn't have any leftovers at home. We always do a turkey again some time in the week following Thanksgiving. Turkey-Lurkey is thawing now and hopefully will be thawed for Sunday's dinner. Hope you had a great time with everyone!
Jennifer, thank you. I'm pretty sure you would like turkey a la chile. They will make tamales from the leftovers. They cooked the chile turkey, beef and pork under ground. Then another turkey on the grill. My mouth is watering for the tamales.
Joan, ha. Hope your Turkey-Lurkey came out great! We are happy to not have leftovers. :)
wabitt, Hi there! I failed to post your comment. I read it..... Sorry. Quite a few people we know have prime rib on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Sounds great. We had rib eye steaks. Similar! Hope your Thanksgiving was so great!
