Back to Hunting 505

Sometimes the Scavenger Hunts just fly by.  It is a new Hunt already and a day into it....

I sketched in the big coffee table book again with the Micron 05.  These sketches are freehand and done quickly .. you can tell, right?

Number 1, The first three things that you would grab if your house was on fire (presuming that your family members and pets are already safe.)  - computer, purse and keys.  I would grab the computer over iPhone and iPad.  I do so prefer it.  I am irritated that "they" are making me use apps on my computer, too.  I like my "stuff" there not off in a cloud someplace.  Sigh......
Number 2, coffee or tea? - well, coffee.
Number 3, A book that you are reading or that has inspired you - Daily Painting by Carol Marine
http://carolmarine.blogspot.com/   Carol Marine lost her home in the fire, too.  They live in Oregon now.  She is an amazing teacher, painter and author.  Check out her blog and all the amazing info.  Take a workshop!

This list is recycled number 116.  When I saw that it was an old one, I looked to see if I could sketch some of the same things.  Most things I sketched in 2009 burned in 2011.  We had been evacuated a couple of times previous years before the big fire and these were my three things to save then, too.  We were in New Mexico when the big fire happened so my computer was with me and we didn't get a chance to grab anything else.  Most people didn't.  You can read about the fire starting here:

My Hunt 116 sketches are here:

I see in the art supplies sketch that I do have some of those things.  I had them with me in New Mexico.  I've had the water bottle and the wooden box for pastels for way too long, eh?

Now that all our photos are on the computer, it would be important to grab it in the case of fire. Keys and purse would be important too - good choices. Then I saw "coffee." Why would Jo grab coffee in case of a fire?? Ohhh, I need to be more careful in my reading :)

Bag Blog, that's funny. In the past I would say that coffee was very important but after drinking decaf for so long, I don't miss the caffeine so don't crave the coffee. Ha...

hmm 3 things I would grab if john and sky were ok....car keys, laptop if I was near it, and my phone since it is a mini computer so would work if the laptop didnt. had to think about this lol first thing I would do would be to just the heck out of the house, stuff is stuff and can be replaced. I know the dog would bolt, she tries when she smells or sees fire outside, so maybe add a dog leash to the list just to be safe :p

Jennifer Rose, Absolutely get stuff on the way out. Do not linger! Leash is good and to have a plan where to meet if you get separated.
