Hunting for the Birds

You all know I love birds, right?  I am being facetious.  They are pretty  from a distance but otherwise are pests in my book.  They make messes.  I took care of cleaning chicken pens and had to pick up wood chips from the woodpile after the chickens were killed for food.  Yuck.... I still rarely, RARELY, eat chicken or foul.  I'm better about eating eggs, but can't think about it too much.  I would eat chicken at your house and enjoy it ... just don't make me think about it.  Ha.

One of the items on Scavenger Hunt 491 is something with wings.  I sketched from afar, which is fine with me!

Number 7, something with wings - little unknown birds in the big tree and a cardinal, really, on the bird feeder.
Number 8, something broken - a melted broken bottle top and some pottery shards.

From our walk around the lake the other day.

The reflections were amazing.  Pretty day, too.

Our little patch of bluebonnets with some dandelions in their midst.  They got mowed just when they were sprouting, so didn't do too well this year.  Spring slipped up on us.

I'm not a bird person either. But I do eat chicken.

Bag Blog, ha! I had a friend that had about 5 parakeets and I helped her put new paper in once in a while when we were 11-12 or so. Another yuck. As you said, I eat chicken and turkey, only unplanned. Smile.

Jennifer Rose, the lakes are super and the walk around the westerly one that they have mowed is about .9 miles so nice distance for this old lady. Today was wet so we walked on the street. Didn't meet one car going, one coming back passed us. :)
Birds are good for art!!
