Hunting Faces Sketch Photos

The big sketchbook was used on the stool, not from the stool!  No more accidents!  The Micron 01 was my tool of choice.

Number 2, face - Supposed to be Larry.  Not even close!  Several of my sketching friends did a challenge recently of sketching 100 faces/figures in a week.  I should have joined in that one.  Of course, stuck in the house, hard to find 100 people.
Number 4, delicious - an apple.  Gene eats huge apples that are not Delicious but Fugi, Honey Crisp or something
Number 5, snack - pretzels.  I chose those because I thought they would be easy to sketch with their distinct shapes.  Well hard to show the form and color in black and white.  Hmmm.
Number 3, pair - a pair of Larry's boots
Number 6, leaf - I sketched the Christmas cactus leaves and one of the viney thing. Epipremnum??

These were over a couple of days.  I have been lazy and doing nothing because of the knees.  Not really, I am just naturally lazy and doing nothing comes easy ..... and easier.  The less you do, the less you want to do.

We did go out and walk yesterday.  Just a short one, towards the fire station across the lake.  Walking seems fine now, it is lifting the legs to go up steps.  So we will be missing the baseball game again tonight.  It will be exciting against the old rival, Texas A&M.  They are in the SEC, Southeastern Conference now so are not on the regular schedule.  That is why it is a Tuesday non conference game.  They played in College Station last year.  The game is sold out and friends will be using our tickets.  :-(  You can tune into the game on the internet http://www.texassports.com/schedule.aspx?path=baseball  Scroll down to the current game and click on details and listen.  You can watch on the Longhorn Network which is free if you have ESPN sports.

Spring is springing here in Bastrop.  You can see bluebonnets along the highways.  Ours got mowed.  Drat.

These Indian Paintbrushes and some white thistle were seen on our walk.  We also saw some yellow daisy looking flowers and a couple of tiny wine cups which are such a beautiful magenta color, but not in a good place for a photo.

The trees are budding out, too.  I be happy, as Larry used to say.   I love the longer days.   Visit his photography page

Jennifer Rose, nice that the tickets were used. I got to listen on the internet so not all lost! Plus our team won.

Jesse and I went to the Dallas Art Museum to see Frida Kahol and Diego Rivera as well as other Mexican artists. We stood in line for well over an hour to see the exhibit. It was fun. Baseball games would be fun too.
