Number 4, something you hear - TV
We are now in Miles City, Montana, to visit with my cousin, Helen. We visited her a few times now. She is 96, I think, and has such a sense of humor. We can talk about the good old days in Magdalena. She doesn't have many people to talk with that know about those times.
Today was the Farmer's Market and her grandson, David Graham, was there so we went to meet him. He is a super fantastic artist and I have mentioned him before. Wow, his paintings are so authentic!

It was great to finally meet him. He is enjoying farming and being outdoors after years of painting inside. He is still the artist but is quite the farmer, too.
David at selling his vegetables and note cards.
David with the note cards.
David and me.
And a bit of scenery:
The Yellowstone River as we near Miles City.
Here are some regular hay bales which are feed for cattle and horses.
Got this on the fly as you can tell. Pretty sure this is housing for the oil workers when the boom was on. There are so many hotels that were built and they are still trying to get the same high rates.
One of the oil rigs and tanks.
It was super windy between Minot, ND, and Sidney, MT. This is just a pond out in the fields with "waves" in the wind. Our gas mileage was horrible with the strong headwinds.
We went to live music at the Montana Bar last night and listened to Smokehouse. It was loud but fun to listen and watch people dance.
Gene rode his trike today while I visited with David. We had a good day.....

Love following you on your trip, Jo!
Great to see some of David's art too.
Bag Blog, hope you enjoyed the wedding if not the weather, too bad we are far away!

Hey, Jennifer Rose, thanks. Skies are blue and beautiful. Lots of wind. From here on rain is badly needed. Hoping for some, there are fires again in the mountains. Sad.
hopefully it rains a lot there, fires staring in a few states it seems :/
Jennifer Rose, fire season is no good! We saw a small fire today, will post soon.
