Water Everywhere and Squirrel Proof Bird Feeders - Photos

We have had another half inch of rain today. There were big booms of thunder that shook The windows. The sunset photos and Gene down by the lakes was on April 18.  You can see the water pouring over the spillway.  You may be able to tell that our house is up the hill from the water so it would have to rain much more to flood us.

We have to laugh at the squirrels here.  Gene got these "squirrel proof" feeders and they have really frustrated the squirrels for quite a while.  This morning we found one that has figured them out.  Gene says squirrel proof bird feeders are an oxymoron.

When I went out the back door to take the photos the squirrel jumped down but it only took him a couple of minutes to climb back up and start his meal again.  You can see him at the bottom in the first photo and then happily eating just a couple of minutes later.  Ha.

A new Scavenger Hunt starts today.  I need to go check the list.

Come on over and play with us.  The Scavenger Hunts keep me sketching!

The photos are lovely. Rain sure makes things green. Water has been running over the pond dam here too. The yard looks like a jungle. But I am home from the hospital and I will live. Yea!

It was a beautiful sunset, Jennifer Rose. I really need to walk down and get some good reflections in the lake. Lazy me. Ha.

Those feeders have really had the squirrels puzzled but this one figured it out. We have had them for a few years, too. The squirrels had been forced to eat leftovers on the ground.
