Hunting Around the House Sketches and Photos

On with Scavenger Hunt 448  http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1403801
I sketched yesterday and today in the big sketchbook with a Micron 01 pen.  I was standing at the counter in the kitchen, on the stool for the outside seat and shoes.  The others on the kitchen/dining table.  Challenges from this Hunt are to use your non dominant hand and do continuous line drawings.  It is enough challenge for me to just sketch!

Number 7 - 11, water, from the kitchen (compost pot), something you cook with (colander), shoes, and outdoor seat.

Number 12 - 17, tube, camera, used to create (pastels and paper), drink (I'm sort of addicted to the V8 Fusion drinks at the moment), food (pineapple) and something to eat with.

I have a new addition to my studio.  Our friend, T (Thresa) paints and renews old furniture, makes jewelry from odd things like bones, and other fun artsy stuff.  She had a chair that is perfect for my studio.  I had been looking for a comfy seat for me to sit and contemplate and for a visitor to sit in.  Inspiring, too.  Pretty nifty find!

The birds were out again this morning.  Purple Martins found the house finally.  Not sure if it is a good thing, we haven't seen the Eastern Bluebirds since and they are so pretty.  The Martins are noisy and protective of their world.

The Martins were not happy with me on the porch.  The mud swallows (cousins) had lived there and it took ages to get them to quit building there.

 Upside down bomber, ha.

They stay busy in the mornings.

The one on the right has a piece of something to put in the apartment.  Not sure if it was a stick or food.

The Cardinals have a hard time eating from these feeders and usually eat what falls on the ground.  Guess their rounded beaks are too short to go in the small holes.  They do try once in a while.

This Ladder Backed Woodpecker has figured out how to turn his head.  He used to try eating upside down.

Everything is so green outside. I tried a pastel of my pond view while I was recuperating. The green is a bit overwhelming.

Bag Blog, Happy that you got to paint a bit. I feel that way about green all the time. My friend's, Enid's, secret is to use orange in the trees and Richard McKinley's is to use purple in the shadows. Good luck!
Glad to hear you are recuperating! Hugs.

nice sketches :) I can draw sort of with my left hand, but would never try to do a continuous line drawing with it. they are a PITA enough with my right hand :p

Jennifer, funny! My lefties are pretty sad. The challenges are two separate ones. Good thing!
