while we were in Houston.
These are in the travel sketchbook, 5.5 x 8.5 inches, with a Micron 01.
Number 1, view in a drawer - lucky for me the nightstand drawer was empty in the hotel
Number 2, view of foot with show on
Buffalo on the way to Houston.
You cross the Colorado River many times on the way between Bastrop and Houston.
The baseball game was between the University of Houston Cougars and the Texas Longhorns. It was a nice evening at Constellation Stadium, a neutral field. Fans were about equally split. There was a pep band there made up of Texas alumni. Fun! The only drawback was the Longhorns lost, 3 - 2. You can read about it here http://goo.gl/i9HC72
The next night we went to dinner at the Aquarium with Jennie's in-laws. Nice Dinner and fun to see them.
One of the Houston interchanges. Some are bigger/taller. Yikes!
Headed downtown to eat at the Aquarium. (I've posted about that before.)
This part goes up 3 floors or so in the middle of the stairs. The tables are around the aquarium and you sort of feel that you are underwater. It is a Landry's seafood restaurant and very good.
I walked down this trail to see why it was closed. It is for maintenance. Mistake there were mean old mosquitoes under the trees. I had to get some Benedryl when we left.
The park has a shooting range that backs up to the hike and bike trail. A bit unsettling to walk along and listen to the shots being fired.
I sketched in the travel sketchbook with a Micron 01.
Gene had a nice long ride. He enjoyed the flat trail for a change. It is pretty hilly here where he rides near our house.
The road home. I'm always taking photos of barns and windmills.
Back at home we have some Purple Martins in the birdhouse. Took a while for them to move in. Not sure if it was the best idea. There were some Eastern Bluebirds living there which are more docile and pretty. The Martins ran them off. :(
