I sketched two days ago. Yikes! Getting behinder.....
I sketched on the porch and in the living room. I used my Micron 03 and added some colored pencil in my art room before I scanned them. They are in the large book so this is about 2/3 of a page. These are for Scavenger Hunt 410 http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1382217
Number 3, organic - cherries
Number 4, inorganic - plate
Number 5, square - 8 x 8 painting on wall
Number 6, round - Gene's magnifying glass paperweight. The dark is
supposed to be reflections but it looks like it has a hole in it. ???
I will enclose a photo of the paperweight so you can see it is round and does not have a hole in it.
The acrylic of salsa stuff, are being varnished today and I will post about it when framed. Stay tuned!
We are going to be traveling for the summer. As we have aged it takes so much longer to do things. I should probably be packing today!
Tonight the Chubby Knuckle Choir is playing at The Bugle Boy. They are so much fun in person. Hope you have tickets, I think it is sold out! Be sure and check though. If you got your tickets, we will see you there!

I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

For some reason, this post did not show up on my blog reader. Very strange.
I like the cherries the best, but all your sketches are fun.
It is hard to believe it is close to your time of summer travel. I feel very behind, slow and draggy. Things are moving way fast for me this summer.
I love these little sketches
Bag Blog, as usual we are right in sync. I was hoping to get a couple of new paintings to leave at the gallery. Ha, didn't happen. Who took our energy. Those Chubby Knuckle guys are so full of energy. The old barracks building they use was jumping up and down! Check out this song: https://youtu.be/X4iry00DmRQ or https://youtu.be/bSv6XZp2KY8
Polly, thank you so much. I appreciate the visit.
have fun at the show! :)
Jennifer Rose, it was a super show!
Seems like you can always find some time to sketch even when there is packing to do. lol I like the paperweight. An acrylic painting is unusual for you...isn't it? I'll have to remember to come back and see it. Happy travels, Jo!
Joan, lol. We still have a couple of weeks, but we are so much slower in all we do. Maybe I'll get the acrylic out soon. It is finished.
oops should have checked the date ;) glad it was a good show :)
That magnifying glass is specially designed to use with maps. It brings objects directly in contact with the base into nice focus and also makes them brighter by concentrating light on the area. They're very cool. I have never thought of them as paperweights! But, they do a good job of that too. Ha. I recognized it immediately and knew it didn't have a hole in it but understand that people who haven't seen one before might be rather baffled. :-)
Jennifer Rose, you made me smile and have good memories.
Joanna, I remember you gave that magnifying glass to your dad. He used to keep it in the car in its cloth bag or it would have burned in the fire. I'm sure it is getting scratched now that it isn't in the bag all the time.
