And, speaking of the gallery, I will be there painting outside, set up on the sidewalk. I will not be painting the sidewalk, I will work on a pastel painting. Stop by, we can visit and you can see my work and all the other unique artworks.
That day is the Empty Bowl Project benefiting the Food Pantry, at the Bastrop High School, 1614 Chamber Street, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. $20.00 per person includes a handmade bowl and soup provided by local restaurants. They have a silent auction with artwork and items donated by local artists and businesses. I plan to stop by and have lunch on my way to Art Connections. You can do the same!Painting in person:Saturday, February 2812:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Just checked out your show at the gallery! Tried to chose a favorite - couldn't make up my mind among BREAKFAST, BLOSSOM and HANGING ON! Sure wish I could see these in person and could show up to watch you paint on the sidewalk and maybe have lunch with you and take home a handmade bowl! Have been catching up on your posts and your Valentine gifts have me smiling!
A group did the Empty Bowl here once and I missed it. It sounded like such a great idea, but as far as I know they haven't done it again. Have a great time!
Our weather turned nasty yesterday with a bit of freezing rain. I have a fire this morning and plan on staying inside. I hope your weather holds for you.
Rosemary, hi there! Wouldn't it be fun to get together. One of the first years on wetcanvas a bunch of the artists decided to hat a "gathering" in Montana for a week. They camped and had cabins. About 25 showed up from around the country and painted plein air and visited. We were going and then Katrina hit and we went to volunteer on the hot line as Gene was a volunteer with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. I hated to miss the gathering. Us bloggers should find a mid country place and go! Thanks for the nice comments, now I'm smiling, too.
Joan, most of the bowls are made by kids so that is special, too. Wish you were here!
Bag Blog, brrrrrr. We have fog and misty rain, about 44 degrees, it was about 50 when we got up, so sinking! Enjoy the fire and stay warm.
that empty bowl project sounds like a good idea :) you generally get bake sales at the uni to help support charity, but everything is chocolate and i can't eat it :/
Jennifer Rose, it is very nice. I'm gluten sensitive so I can't eat all the soups, but it is a nice day.
