Yesterdays Sketches

I sketched on my iPad early in the morning yesterday.  I am hosting Scavenger Hunt 387 http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1368047  so thought I had better get with the program.

I used the app, Brushes.  It takes longer for me to sketch on the iPad than with a pen and paper.  Maybe it is all the decisions about color, pressure and brush, texture, etc.  Anyway, it is something different and a break from the routine.

Number 5, lamp

Number 6, red - my Christmas stocking
Number 7, from the fridge - the large mandarin orange from the fridge via my stocking.

We have had visitors.  Our friend, "T", came and helped with the tamale making on Thursday, Jennie and the two small grand-dogs came, the littlest being Chewbacca, 2 month old shih tzu.  Then Larry and Joanna came out.  We had a great Christmas.  Yesterday Brandon came with Nala.

It is always great to have the kiddos around.  Well, the grown up kiddos.  How time flies.  Sigh.....

Here I am with Romeo (Maltese) and Chewie (shih tzu)
Nala did not like sleeping with the new puppy so she came to the living room and took over my chair!  She preferred the company of Larry who was sleeping on the couch.

Hope you are having great holidays and had a super Christmas!

The little dogs are cute, but that Nala is a dog. I can see Nala as head of ranch security.

Bag Blog, yes, those pups are cute. Well, Romeo is pretty old now but has always been cute. Chewie was so cute eating, he gets so excited with his head down in his dish and his two back feet go up in the air, almost did a flip. Ha.

Nala is beautiful and sweet but is a rescued dog and so very timid and afraid even after 3 years or so. Sadly, I don't think she will be boss in this life.

aww look how tiny that puppy is, would be afraid someone would step on it

I think digital takes longer because you have to switch brushes, blenders, erasers etc

Hi Jo .... glad that you had a lovely Christmas. Best wishes for 2015 and happy painting xx

I like the sketch of the lamp...not sure where that lamp is, though.

And, yeah…Nala is never gonna be the boss of anyone! She's terribly skittish and nervous!

It really was a great Christmas.

Jennifer Rose, you are right. Chewie went under the couch which has almost zero space and we couldn't find him for a few minutes, panic!!!!

So true on the digital painting. I also do very few undo as I'm trying for it to be a sketch. It would take forever to do a "drawing".

Leslie, oh nice to hear from you!! I think you are the blogger that comments from the farthest distance. :) Hope you have a great year, too! Hugs...

Joanna, thanks, the lamp is in our bedroom so you don't see it much...A floor lamp.
And yes, Nala is nervous but somewhat better here at the house after all this time.

Great Christmas for sure!
