Hunting a Fireplace

I put my feet up on my hassock and sketched in front of the fireplace this morning.  I'm hosting Scavenger Hunt 388  http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?p=20327557#post20327557  and one of the items was fireplace.  Perfect timing as it is cool for us, 43 degrees at 10:00 a.m.

Number 1, fireplace -- ours is electric and the TV box and the DVD player sit on a shelf and the TV is on top.  It puts out heat and is very realistic looking so serves the purposes very well!

When I sketch on my iPad for the Scavenger Hunts, I try to make it as much like a sketch as possible.  I leave the crooked lines as my fingers don't slide too straight.  That makes it more like a sketch with a pen and paper.  I could zoom in more and delete the mistakes, but that would make it different from a sketch.  I only use the "undo" when it is a very obvious mistake or I start to use the wrong size tool or wrong color.  In fact I left some pretty bad color around the fireplace where it is supposed to be wooden.  Maybe one of these days, I will do a real drawing to show the difference.  Ah, probably not.  It would take too much of my "valuable" time.

I tried leaving a comment but lost it. Guess I need a lesson. Where is my instructor when I need her? I said that commenting it is not realistic is unrealistic, it does not look like anything I have seen in this house. Now what do I do?

I redid it because it posted his e-mail.

I did said the fireplace was very realistic, not my sketch. Ha. Thanks for commenting, Gene
