Don't forget the pastel class on Tuesday, info above.
I'm hosting Scavenger Hunt 378 http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1362368 which started on the 8th. We had company and I commented a bit but this is my first sketch.
I sat out on the porch, it was rainy and cool! Excellent! We have a half inch of rain so far.
I sketched on my iPad with the app, SketchBook, and my fingers. The program will let me record and then I can post the replay. However, I did not know that I had to turn it on when I started, so no recordings. The app, Brushes, records automatically and I can replay it on my iPad, but haven't found a way to share. I will do another with SketchBook so I can put the replay here. They are interesting to see.
Number 1, evergreen or other tree - I sketched the pine over Gene's shed and realized I had only sketched a branch so sketched one of the little oaks between the house and the lake.
This is the painting Lou Baggett, aka Bag Blog, painted for us. It is a house in Equador. Perfect. It is on my easel in my studio until I decide where to hang it. She replaced a painting that burned in the fire. Isn't she great? You can see her art on FineArtAmerica here http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/lou-baggett.html or check out her blog here http://bagwag.blogspot.com/. We had such a good time when they came to Angel Fire. http://www.jocastilloartblog.blogspot.com/2014/08/plein-air-painting-with-bag-blog-sketch.html
I am an artist that paints in pastels, with some oils, and acrylics. I sketch in pen and ink. As an artist my original paintings are influenced from living in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, Bolivia, Peru and Chile, and travels throughout much of Canada and all our fifty States. This is my spot for posting paintings and sketches, to muse mostly about art, life and a little about UT Baseball.

Thanks for the link. My blog is needy these days. There you are being so nice when I was not nice about the UT and OU. Of course, I was raised to dislike UT, but after living in OK, I get pretty tired of OU fans - most obnoxious. I think I'd rather cheer for UT.
I did some watercolor yesterday even though my art room is still not finished. I'm ready for the old part of the house to be finished.
Bag Blog, you know Gene was kidding, right? I'm happy you painted, always a good thing. I can't wait to see your updated look.
Our company is gone so I need to get back to a routine including painting. Sigh.....
I knew Gene was kidding. In fact, I could almost hear him saying it.
Bag Blog, I can hear you, too. Ha. It is cool again today and I'm off to teach a small pastel class.
