Travel Photos New Mexico and Arizona- No Art

We left Angel Fire on September 11 and are now in Sierra Vista, Arizona.  It was a good trip.  I sketched at Rancho de Chimayo, but haven't taken photos yet, will post those later.

As we left our house in Angel Fire, the deer came to see us off.  There were about six doe and babies.  Nice.

We tried carrying the Terratrike on top of the car.  It gave us extra room, but was very noisy so we took it down after we left Taos and put it in the Expedition.  Then in Chimayo we put it in the trailer where Gene says it is staying until we get home.  We shall see.  The trailer is in Albuquerque and we will stop there for a couple of days.  He loves the bike trails there so I'm betting he will take it out and ride it!

The patio at the Rancho de Chimayo Bed and Breakfast.  Such a quiet and nice place.  Very little phone service, no internet and no TV.  Perfect.

Out back of the B&B in the evening.  Pretty sunset.

The Sanctuary at Chimayo.  A very healing place they say.

Some of the formations between Chimayo and Pojuaque.  Beautiful day again.

Near Bernalillo, we had over an hour delay where they are working on the overfly at Paseo del Norte in Albuquerque.  It will be a mess for the Balloon Fiesta!

We stayed in Albuquerque and had dinner with Gene's sisters.  We ate at the Town House, an old favorite in a new location. http://thenewtownhouse.comcastbiz.net/ Food and service are still great.  It is a Greek steakhouse.

From Albuquerque we hit the road to go to Palomas, Mexico, for a visit to the dentist.  All clear.  We passed the Ladrone Mountains and I took my obligatory photo up the Rio Salado.   More photos here.  http://jocastilloartblog.blogspot.com/search?q=ladrones

Between Deming and Columbus, New Mexico.

We spent the night in Columbus, New Mexico, just across the border.  Mexico in the distance in the second photo.  We stayed at Martha's Place, comfortable and friendly.

 Near the Arizona border.

It was so nice of the deer to see you off. When I saw the pic with the trike on top of the car, I thought how in the heck did they get that up there. The I thought how in the heck did they get that down. Sounds like something Toby and I would do.

Bag Blog, the deer were neat. I think we started putting up the bike rack and the trike just rolled on up so we thought, why not?? Like you say, how the heck did we get started? Gene did lots of repacking. Now the trike is in the trailer in Albuquerque. We'll see if it stays there till we get home. Ha.

Jennifer, a pleasure to post the photos. Especially when I don't have any art done!
