The trunks of the trees are so black because they are wet. The ceramic faces show up well!
It is cloudy again. We have had some big rains the last few days. Very good for the country. Some spots in New Mexico are still dry so we are hoping for rain for all that are still in drought all over the country.
We went to Taos yesterday afternoon for a bit of shopping and to eat at Yu Garden.

We have been eating there since the first time we came to Angel Fire about 2009 and they moved to Taos in 2011. It is so good and they have added sushi to the menu. Our favorite dish is Volcano Shrimp. Amanda and her family are so welcoming. The two boys and daughter are grown up and in college and high school so I miss seeing them at the restaurant. It was nice to visit with Amanda and eat some great Chinese food. We miss the restaurant being here of course. Taos is 23 miles away on a curvy road that takes about 40 minutes.

Arriving in Taos
Back to Angel Fire, after a big rain.

The road from Angel Fire to Taos is not my favorite. There is lots to see on the road, but the curves make it difficult.
I still have people call and ask me where a good place to eat is in Taos. I have not lived there in 18 years. Things change. I always say Micheal's Kitchen - I know it is still good.
Bag Blog, you are so right. Michael's Kitchen is still great. We have always liked Orlando's but haven't tried it this year. There are a few new places, but we have stayed here for the most part.
