Yellow Gunk

How many days ago was I griping about the cold?  Not many!  At noon it is 80 degrees F. and I imagine it will be 85+ by 5:00 p.m.  Oh well, a beautiful day.  What we get here now for a few weeks is the yellow/green pollen from the Loblolly Pines.  It is fine and powder like.  It looks like I have spilled pastel dust all over the place.  We have to keep the house closed and brought in the porch furniture.  It is either bring it in or cover it.  Gene covered the BBQ grills.  It has been very windy until today, so now we will be able to make footprints in the sand, uh, pollen.  A little irritating to be so nice out and keep the house closed.  Sigh......

The buds or pre-cones are not quite open on this tree in our yard.  I noticed on my walk that many have fallen on the ground.  Yay!

You can see the gunk here, blown into the cracks between the tiles.  Wet it and you get yellow watercolor.

Amazing that it does not seem to cause allergies.  Hmmmm.

Music at the Bugle Boy http://thebugleboy.org/ tonight and tomorrow night. Should be fun.   See you there?  UT Baseball http://www.texassports.com/  is up in Lubbock this weekend to play the Texas Tech Red Raiders.  Bag Blog will be rooting for the Raiders!  Hook 'em Horns!

Thank you to my artsy followers for sticking with me in this "dry spell".  No painting or sketching today, income tax time.  Here we go.......
