My pieces at Art Connections Gallery
Hour Cow
Pastel on Pastelbord
5 x 7 inches
$105.00
This painting is a subject I like. I have mentioned before that my mom always named the cows at the ranch. Usually the milk pen calves were named for the month they were born: April, May, etc. This one was painted as a challenge on wetcanvas.com to complete the painting in an hour. Now you know the rest of the story: meaning of the name.
Twilight Pines
Pastel on Pastelbord
16 x 20 inches
$450.00
This is a studio painting with a watercolor underpainting. It was started in Arkansas, but the trees are in Montana as I recall. These could be pine trees anywhere. Do you think you have seen them? I enjoyed adding the rich evening light.
Bastrop Resident
Pastel on Pastelbord
5x 7 inches
$105.00
And this fellow was strutting his stuff on Farm Street in Bastrop where the "protected" chickens reside. It is interesting to see them and their beautiful colors which you can do driving down Farm Street behind the Convention Center. This is my portrait of a Bastrop resident.

Lesly, hey there. Wonderful to hear from you. I only have half a mojo. Wonder where we go to find it? I keep posting on my blog and signing up for stuff to make me paint a bit.
I see you on facebook once in a great while. They seem to show more of the folks that post 2 or 3 times a day. I still prefer the blog world. Thank you so much for the link and commenting here. I think of you often and look forward to seeing some new work from down under!!
I love the Twilight Pines, Jo! I hadn't seen that one - really nice colors!!
Great paintings!
I hope first Friday goes well.
When I first started blogging, we had a bottle-baby calf. The mom died a few days after she was born. I named her Bambina, because she pushed (bambed) me around when I bottle fed her.
Hi Regina, thank you very much. I do like color as you know! My favorite part of painting.
Joanna, thank ye, thank ye.
Bag Blog, First Fridays are getting better, hopefully we will have good weather. Awww, cute name for the calf. They are so cute.
