Wow! I haven't posted a blog since December 20. How time flies when you are having fun!
I think I will start by posting the one sketch I've done for Scavenger Hunt 342. I have 2 and a half pages in my sketchbook left to finish. I should try to finish it today, but probably wont, you know me. I sketched with the Prismacolor Premier 03 pen.
Number 1, lamp
I also sketched for the December Challenge in the Southwest Forum as I hadn't painted anything. Very quick just to do something. I should never do a building or anything requiring perspective in a rush. The photo had more buildings and things, too.
I like wash hanging on the line, maybe I will paint something similar.
We ended up with twenty-five folks at the farmhouse we rented for Christmas.
Gene and I are seated, on the tree side of the group. The babies are Roger's great grandsons. Larry, standing to the tree side behind Gene, is the photographer. Gene's sister, Sylvia, silk screened the shirts for us and they all fit! I will post more photos later of the wild bunch.
Roger did most of the cooking! He made tamales, chile, etc. He cooked salmon, brown rice and veggies one night on the grill. Excellent! We had chile balls, rum balls, bourbon balls, enchiladas, beans, tortillas, fruit, veggies, carrot cake, biscochitos (Jennie and I made), ham, eggs, green chile, red chile and so much more. Did anyone stick to a diet? Just the See-food diet, see it and eat it.
We had some interesting mornings. A few photos for you.
A blue egret captured by Christy at our house. |
The frost and steam at our house. |
Sunrise at our house. |
Our tree with a few doves. Last year Roger saw it full with hundreds of doves, but we didn't get a photo. |
My gifts. Longhorn baseball gear and art stuff, what more can you ask?
Romeo didn't care for the cold weather. |
I guess Santa left this monkey on my desk. |
This will be his spot. |
