This is from their "About Us" page:
The Bastrop County Women’s Shelter, dba Family Crisis Center started in 1981 from a coalition of rural Texas women with a shared vision of offering hope, support, and assistance to women victimized by domestic violence. Since becoming an incorporated nonprofit in 1983, the Center has evolved into a community leader in rural Central Texas. The Center recently celebrated 25 years of service offering victims of domestic and sexual violence safety, shelter, and advocacy; a milestone made possible by the enduring commitment of the Center’s clients, staff members, volunteers, donors, and community partners, both organizations and individuals.
I usually donate a painting or some art work for the Gala and the dance in January in La Grange. This year for the Gala, I painted pastel paintings of area wildflowers displayed in a wooden box. The box is about 7 inches tall and 9 inches in diameter. The paintings are 3 x 3 inches.
Here is a look at the paintings and wooden box. They look much better in person. To see the paintings and box in person and have a chance to own the box you will just have to go to the Gala. You will have a good time and help our community. There are only a few times that you have an opportunity to dress up in Bastrop, too.

So pretty!
Thank you, Joanna. Hugs.
That's so cool, Jo - very nice donation. I loved to go to that when we lived in Bastrop - such a great event!!
Thanks, Regina. We will probably go this year. We missed last year. It is always so beautiful with the trees, but I hear there won't be many trees. :(
